Safety Rules for Bounce Houses, Combos, and Slides

It is the responsibility of the person or organization that is renting this inflatable equipment to ensure that all possible precautions are taken to avoid injury to people or damage to the Inflatable. Please ensure that the following Safety Instructions are followed:

Supervision Requirements:

An adult (age 18+) must actively supervise while the inflatable is in use. If at any time during your rental, you are unable to provide the proper adult supervision that our equipment requires we recommend that you stop using and turn off the equipment until such time that proper supervision is again present.

  • Supervisor must be capable of enforcing safety rules and responding to emergencies.
  • Ensure all children follow posted rules and oral instructions.
  • Do not allow anyone to be on the inflatable equipment during inflation or deflation as this is dangerous.
  • Do not leave the inflatable unattended while in use.
  • Do not allow anyone to bounce on the front safety step as this is dangerous.
  • Keep spectators and waiting riders at least 4 feet away from entrances/exits.
  • You are responsible for damage caused by negligence, misuse, or rule violations.
  • Do not overload any inflatable. Each of our inflatables has a capacity chart posted on the inflatable near the entrance. The maximum rider capacity should never be exceeded.
  • Always ensure that the Inflatable is not over crowded, and limit numbers according to the age and size of Children using it. Try to avoid large and small children from using it at the same time.
  • One of the best ways to rotate large groups of Children through a bounce house is by setting time limits.  Allow a group in and begin a stopwatch for 5 minutes.  Do not allow any extras until that time frame is over and then clear out the kids that are in the bounce house completely.  Then let your next group in for a jump.
  • No one should enter an inflatable unit wearing cross-body purses, jewelry (necklaces, bangles/bracelets, dangling pierced earings, etc), shoes, watches, glasses, or carrying any sharp objects, including anything in their pockets or otherwise.
  • No food, drink or chewing gum on or around the Inflatable. This will avoid choking risk and keep the unit clean. (Please note if the Inflatable is returned in a dirty/containing food condition then the person renting it will incur a $100.00 cleaning charge.)
  • No riders who are under 3 years old, pregnant, physically or mentally impaired, under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or have a medical condition that would prevent participation.
  • If the inflatable starts to loose air, instruct the children sit down. For slides, have the children slide down or climb down the ladder if less than half way up. Assist the children in exiting. Some inflatables have emergency exits or detachable roofs.
  • It is important to walk around and check the inflatable every 30 minutes. Make sure the blower motor remains securely attached and operating properly, the blower tube is not kinked, the anchoring straps and stakes are secure, the GFI outlet remains operational, and there are no tears in the units wall or netting.
  • SILLY STRING will PERMANENTLY DAMAGE the Bounce House and you will be responsible for damages as outlined in your rental agreement. Up to and including replacement cost of the inflatable unit.
  • No water play allowed on the inflatable unit unless you rented a water slide specifically for wet use.

General Safety rules Rules:
